Higher level spirit stones (+3, +4) are extremely like gold dust, and are high-priced for Metin2 players to buy. But you should take not of that item with socket weapon stones will only attach to weapons and item with socket armor stones will only attach to armors, and you should uninstall your equipment before attaching stones. The way to attach a stone to a weapon/armor is so easy, click it, and drag and drop it over a weapon/ armor.

There is a 30% success rate for attaching stones in Metin2, but you can improve your chances if you have good luck or charm of karma. If you succeed in doing that, you will see a socket successful message at the bottom of your screen and if you linger the mouse on your item, you will see the stone attached. If you fail, a socket failed message will be sent to you and a broken stone will be seen when you hover over your weapon. Generally speaking, you may only attach one of each type of spirit stone to an item.
